Dangerous Goods Handling

Dangerous Goods (DGs), also called Hazardous Materials (HazMat), are substances and organisms that are radioactive, flammable, explosive or toxic in solid, liquid or gas forms. As these pose a danger to both the public and the environment, there are regulations covering safe transport, storage and packaging of DGs such as the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code and the Maritime (Dangerous Goods, Petroleum and Explosives) Regulations.
